Support groups backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday staged a solidarity march in Kaduna ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off scheduled for Saturday, October 24, pledging to mobilise support for his re-election bid in 2027.
The march attracted members of support groups under the Presidential Campaign Council’s Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate, with organisers describing the exercise as part of efforts to demonstrate their readiness for the forthcoming general election.
Speaking during the march, the Director of the Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate, Silas Ali Agara, said the groups had mobilised across Kaduna to welcome the President and demonstrate their support ahead of the campaign rally.

Agara said the exercise was also intended to showcase the enthusiasm of the groups and their preparedness to participate in the wider mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 elections.
“We want to show Mr President that Nigerians love him, the people of Kaduna State love him, and the youth of this country love him,” he said.
He disclosed that the campaign structure had about 10,000 support groups nationwide, adding that efforts were ongoing to mobilise their members in support of Tinubu.
Agara said the Kaduna march marked the beginning of a broader mobilisation strategy aimed at strengthening the groups’ participation in the President’s campaign activities across the country.
Also speaking, the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who serves as secretary of the Northwest support group structure, commended the organisers and participants for their turnout.
Goronyo described the march as an initial demonstration of the mobilisation effort ahead of the campaign flag-off, expressing confidence that the groups would sustain coordination as the campaign progressed.
He said the supporters had resolved to back Tinubu in the 2027 general election, citing what he described as the administration’s interventions in infrastructure, water supply, education, healthcare and other sectors.
Similarly, the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre and Northwest coordinator of the Tinubu Support Group under the Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to participate in the exercise.
Dan’Agundi said the march formed part of efforts by support groups to demonstrate their preparedness ahead of campaign events in different states.
He explained that the organisers planned to assess the presence and readiness of support groups in states scheduled to receive the President, ensuring that local structures were involved in the mobilisation activities.
