Constance Wu arrived in style Friday morning for a “Today Show” appearance to promote the second season of her Amazon Prime show “The Terminal List. The “Crazy Rich Asians” star opted for a cute and casual but nevertheless chic look with a simple two-toned mod dress from the Zankov Spring 2027 collection.
Wu’s 60s-inspired dress was certainly vibrant. The sleeveless number sported a high boat neckline and consisted of three colored block panels in two distinct shades. The top and bottom sections were a somewhat minty shade of kelly green crafted from solid fabric that served to accentuate the semi-sheer mesh overlay of the midsection, colored in a subtle violet purple. While mostly a played-down, nearly everyday look, Wu’s ensemble was elevated slightly thanks to an asymmetrical purple chiffon train in the same shade as the midriff.
Wu paired the look in a striking pair of pointed silver heels. She wore her hair pulled back and opted for natural makeup including a neutral reddish lipstick.
The Zankov Spring 2027 collection was one of two collections Henry Zankov premiered during fashion week in 2026. The designs were a bit of a throwback, heavily inspired by 60s designs, marked by bold colors and fabrics.
The music of French actress and singer Jeanne Moreau also served as something of a muse for Zankov. According to the WWD review of the collection, “For Zankov, listening to Moreau made him romanticize the ‘60s, when his mother immigrated to St. Petersburg wearing metallic platform heels with hope for a new future shoved in the pocket of her purple corduroys.” Zankov incorporated that same distinct purple shade into his collection, as seen in the purple hues highlighting Wu’s dress.
Wu’s “Today Show” appearance helped promote the second season of “The Terminal List,” which premiered on October 21. Wu plays Katie Buranek, a war correspondent for the fictional Voltstreem News. Wu stars alongside Chris Pratt, a NAVY seal out for revenge after the murder of his family.
