A new report has been released revealing the most popular pet names in Canada for dogs and cats, and in Edmonton, pet owners have some interesting preferences.
According to Rover in its 14th annual top names report, Luna and Charlie were in the top five for both types of pets, signalling that some pet owners may not be very original.
Rover is the world’s largest online marketplace for personalized pet care.
“The names dog and cat parents choose to give their pets are often a direct reflection of who they are, what they like, and what’s going on in the world at the time,” Rover notes.
The top five dog names are Luna, Charlie, Daisy, Winston, and Jasper. For cats, it’s Milo, Luna, Bella, Shadow, and Charlie.
However, the top trending names reveal a completely different story.
