Croatia has officially entered the race to host the 2030 UEFA European Futsal Championship, with Zagreb and Split proposed as host cities.
The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has submitted its expression of interest to UEFA, joining six other national associations seeking to stage the tournament.
Finland, France, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Poland and Spain have also expressed interest in hosting the competition, UEFA has confirmed.
Croatia’s proposed venues are Arena Zagreb in the capital and Spaladium Arena in Split, two cities that previously hosted the European Futsal Championship in 2012.
The tournament is scheduled to take place during January and February 2030.
The bidding process began on 29 June 2026, with national associations required to submit their expressions of interest by 13 October.
Interested associations must deliver their final bidding documentation by 8 June 2027. UEFA’s Executive Committee is expected to select the host nation in September 2027.

Croatia will face competition from six other countries as it seeks to bring the continental tournament back to the country.
Croatia previously hosted the UEFA European Futsal Championship in 2012, with matches played in Zagreb and Split.
The tournament remains notable for its attendance figures. The semi-final between Croatia and Russia at Arena Zagreb attracted 14,300 spectators, setting a record for attendance at a single match at the European Futsal Championship.
A successful bid would give Croatia another opportunity to host one of European futsal’s leading international competitions, with Zagreb and Split once again at the centre of the country’s proposal.
UEFA is expected to announce its decision in September 2027, following the submission and evaluation of the final bids.
