Pakistani contingent, representing the 59 Punjab Regiment, comprised one officer and seven soldiers. The team competed in the exercise held in Wales from October 2 to 13, facing demanding challenges designed to test military preparedness, endurance and teamwork.
The latest silver medal adds another achievement to Pakistan Army’s growing record at the Cambrian Patrol. Pakistani teams won silver medals in 2022 and 2023 before raising the bar with gold-medal victories in 2024 and 2025.

The 2026 result has kept the medal-winning streak alive, demonstrating the contingent’s ability to compete against international military teams in a challenging operational environment.
Widely regarded as one of the toughest military patrol exercises, Cambrian Patrol tests participants across a range of demanding tasks. Soldiers must navigate difficult mountainous terrain while managing physical exhaustion, mental pressure and operational challenges.
The competition evaluates several critical military attributes, including leadership, discipline, coordination, teamwork and the ability to perform under pressure. Participants are also assessed on their practical military skills and operational readiness.
With 140 teams from 36 countries taking part this year, Pakistan’s silver-medal finish represents a notable performance in a highly competitive international setting.
