The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has urged corps members to embrace entrepreneurship, acquire relevant skills and diversify their income sources to improve their financial prospects.
In a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, Nafiu gave the charge while addressing 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Anambra State.

He advised the corps members to maximise the opportunities provided by the service year by developing an entrepreneurial mindset, building lasting relationships and exploring available business opportunities for wealth creation.
Nafiu also urged them to embrace diligence and acquire as many skills as possible while young, stressing that relying on a single source of income might not be sufficient to meet their daily financial needs.
He encouraged them to explore legitimate avenues for financial growth and consider long-term investments.

“They have been disciplined, cooperative and supportive, voluntarily serving on various committees and contributing positively to the smooth running of the Orientation Camp,” Ojisua said.
She appreciated the Director-General for visiting the camp, describing his presence as a source of encouragement to both corps members and camp officials.
