Joao Cancelo has sent out a message to his critics in the wake of Tuesday’s Champions League defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
The Portugal international was not at his best during the game at Parc des Princes and has come in for some criticism.
Cancelo picked up an early booking and found it tough going against the European champions as Barca slumped to their first defeat of the season.
He’s now taken to social media to respond to his critics, posting: “From the stands, everyone’s an expert. I’d like to see them get into the game and handle the pressure.”
Cancelo is still expected to start again on Sunday when Barcelona face another huge game against Real Madrid in La Liga.
Hansi Flick is short of full-back options for the game, as Eric Garcia and Jules Kounde are expected to miss out due to injury, meaning Cancelo and Xavi Espart look set to continue on the flanks.
