Usually, a game against the WisconsinBadgers on the road would strike fear in USC fans. This time around, that might not be the case, as USC football has its sights set on much bigger competition. Winning on the road against Penn State a few weeks ago showed this team is more than capable of getting it done. USC should pass its next road test this week with flying colors.
Here is how Week 8 will play out for the USC Trojans against the Wisconsin Badgers:
King Miller and Waymond Jordan both will be key contributors
The Badgers historically have been a program that specializes in running the football. This season, their quarterback has been the driving force behind their run game. The Trojans will have the more imposing run game in this football game. King Miller will run for 100 yards, and Waymond Jordan will bully the Badgers' defense when he gets his opportunity. The run game will set the tone early for USC and also put the game away late in the second half.
Zacharyus Williams will be the Trojans leading receiver this week
The Wisconsin Badgers best unit on their defense is their secondary. Their secondary will put its best effort into shutting down the two freshman stud receivers for USC. That will open the door for Zacharyus Williams to burn the Badgers deep for multiple big plays. I think Williams will lead the Trojans in receiving yards as he goes for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Colton Joseph will throw 2 interceptions
Colton Joseph has kept the turnovers down, but against the Trojans' defense, he will try to play hero ball way more than he should. Kennedy Urlacher and Christian Pierce will both get interceptions in this game and help things swing into USC's favor big time.
Jahkeem Stewart will get his first sack of the season
Jahkeem Stewart's impact has been felt greatly since his return. He returned a fumble for a touchdown against the Washington Huskies to seal the deal, and he has been a great interior disruptor. Against the Wisconsin Badgers, Stewart will get after Joseph and bring him down for his first sack of the season. This will be Stewart's official breakout game. He will play a big part in ensuring Joseph does not dominate the Trojans with his legs.
USC will win convincingly
USC has played to the level of their competition; no better example than the game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Against Wisconsin, USC will put it all together. The Trojans' offense will play to the level they should, and the defense will follow suit with a complementary performance. USC will get a statement on the road, winning 38-17.
