LEXINGTON — Kentucky football continued ascending in the rankings, the latest of which were released Oct. 18.
UK now is No. 12 in the US LBM Football Coaches Poll. The Wildcats were 17th in the coaches poll last week.
The new Associated Press Top 25 will be revealed later today. Kentucky was No. 15 in the AP's previous poll before coach Will Stein's club went on the road and beat Oklahoma, 21-13, on Oct. 17.
With that win, the Wildcats improved to 6-1 (4-1 SEC) this fall. UK is tied for first in the SEC standings alongside Georgia.
Kentucky returns home this week, hosting Vanderbilt. Kickoff at Kroger Field is set for 7:30 p.m. The tilt between the Wildcats and Commodores will air nationally on SEC Network.
