UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for Ukraine during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported on Wednesday night, October 14, that the British prime minister made the remarks during Zelensky’s visit to London.
According to the report, Burnham said the UK would accelerate the delivery of its Lightweight Multirole Missiles to Ukraine.
Ukraine has used these missiles against Russia’s jet-powered drones, reportedly with good results.
Burnham also said his government was working on additional sanctions against Russia.
“We support you, and that support will not change,” the British prime minister said.
The remarks come shortly after Zelensky said he felt that Ukraine was losing the support of the United States.
