President Donald Trump apologized to reporter from The Daily Wire after dismissing her question about France as “fake news”.
Speaking to journalists ahead of a rally in Kansas on Monday, Trump was asked about French President Emmanuel Macron blaming the Iran war and Trump for the riots currently erupting across France.
“Macron is blaming the Iran war and you essentially for the rioting in France,” the reporter began, before Trump interrupted: “I don't think he is, I think that's fake news. Who are you with?”
When the journalist replied, “The Daily Wire,” Trump apologized, saying: “Oh. The Daily Wire's good. Sorry.”
Newsweek reached out to The White House for comment.
