It’s always a highlight of the telecast. But this year’s car giveaway might just have gone down as the greatest Telethon moment of all time.
Lucky winner Falziah Cooper was surprised by AFL legend Shane Crawford and Sunrise’s Katie Brown, who drove a brand new Hyundai Kona to Victoria Park to present the prize.
She was ecstatic, jumping up and down in excitement and embracing Crawford.
But it was what happened next that had the television audience in stitches — in the background Cooper’s son, only clad only in a towel, joined in the excitement, later climbing into the car with his mum.
It was the stuff of TV gold.
