The naira has recorded a second consecutive day of depreciation against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market.
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, showed that the naira weakened to N1,332.97 per dollar on Tuesday from N1,332.10 on Monday.
This means the naira lost N0.87 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.
Meanwhile, at the parallel market, the naira remained unchanged at N1,375 per dollar on Tuesday, the same rate recorded the previous day.
The mixed movements across the foreign exchange markets came as the country’s external reserves rose further to $58.81 billion, according to CBN data.
DAILY POST reports that the naira also depreciated against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Monday.
