AIA Life Korea successfully held the ‘K-Pop Together, Give Together’ concert at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
Guided by its purpose of helping people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives, AIA Group is carrying out a wide range of initiatives through its AIA One Billion (AOB) campaign to improve the physical health and mental wellbeing of one billion people across Asia-Pacific by 2030.
The concert was designed to contribute to participants’ wellbeing through the positive energy of music and culture. It aimed to let customers and members enjoy K-pop and K-culture together, find new energy in their daily lives, and extend that joy to local communities through charitable initiatives. AIA Life Korea also plans to expand its existing customer experience program, the ‘AIA-Only Experience,’ into ‘AIA WE (AIA Wellness & Entertainment),’ which combines wellness and entertainment. AIA WE is a platform that offers differentiated experiences to AIA members, including customers, distribution partners and employees, and its scope will continue to grow through a variety of participatory programs.
The event brought together not only members of AIA Life Korea and AIA Premier Partners but also AIA members from Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore, creating an opportunity to understand and connect with one another through K-culture. AIA members from across borders gathered in one place to enjoy performances and a range of cultural programs, strengthening their bonds. The private concert was attended by around 7,000 people, including employees and their families, sales organizations, customers and partners from these markets.
Jae Min Park and Tiffany Young served as MCs for the concert, while leading Korean artists active on the global stage, including JINUSEAN, ITZY, J.Y. Park, CHUNG HA and PSY, delivered a diverse range of performances to the audience. Ahead of the concert, the VIP lounge featured catering, a K-culture experience zone and a K-beauty zone, allowing international guests to immerse themselves in Korean lifestyle and culture beyond the performances.
“It was meaningful to experience Korean culture in so many different ways, not just through the K-pop performances. We had a great time connecting with AIA members from different countries,” participants said.
The concert was also meaningful for connecting the joy of the performances with charitable giving to local communities. On the day of the concert, AIA Life Korea invited almost 1,000 guests, including children with cancer, their families and care leavers, giving them an opportunity to enjoy the performances together. In addition, AIA Life Korea donated over KRW 260 million in total, including the value of the invitation tickets, with approximately KRW 160 million going to Share the Love and KRW 100 million to Childhood Cancer Korea. Beyond its charitable efforts in Korea, AIA continued its community outreach in the Philippines and Singapore in partnership with the Kythe Foundation and Better Lives Fund, respectively.
“We are truly honored and proud to welcome so many colleagues and AIA family members from across Asia to Korea for this special AIA WE experience,” said Hwang Ji-Ye, Chief Marketing Officer of AIA Life Korea. “Drawing on the strength of AIA as a leading global life insurance group, we were able to bring together our customers, distribution partners and employees to celebrate achievements, strengthen connections and create a truly memorable wellness and entertainment experience. It is especially meaningful to have shared the joy of Korean culture with our AIA family from overseas and extend that joy to the communities we serve.”
“Through AIA WE, AIA Life Korea will continue to leverage its strengths in Korea and its pan-Asian network to offer distinctive wellness and entertainment experiences that encourage more AIA members to participate, find inspiration and connect with one another,” Hwang added.
