Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 17 October 2026, Uzbekistan’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Bahromjon Aloev met with Sheikh Khalifa, Oman’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, in Baghdad.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the 52nd session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The sides reviewed the current state of Uzbek-Omani relations and prospects for further development. Particular attention was paid to expanding political dialogue and strengthening trade and economic ties.
The meeting participants also discussed cooperation between Uzbekistan and Oman within the framework of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
