We’re one day away from Apple’s smart-home focused product launch event and the latest PowerOn newsletter from Bloomberg’s Mike Gurman shines more light on what to expect.
Apple’s long-awaited smart home control hub, which will allegedly be called HomeView, will come in two designs. The standard “countertop” model will feature a metal speaker base and four-color options - space gray, silver, starlight, and pink. Apple is also bringing a wall-mounted version, which will be available in space gray and silver.

Both HomeView models will feature the Apple A18 chip – the same SoC used in the iPhone 16, 16 Plus and 16e. Previous rumors suggest the HomeView will get a 6-inch touchscreen display. It will reportedly have a limited selection of Apple first-party apps and no App Store to download additional apps. Apple is expected to ship the HomeView in mid-November.
Alongside the HomeView, Apple is expected to launch a new HomePod mini with the S10 chip, which was used in the Apple Watch Series 10, Series 11, Watch SE 3 and Watch Ultra 3. It will reportedly come in pink, white, green, blue and midnight colors.
Apple HomePod Mini 2
Apple is also bringing an updated Apple TV streaming box with the A19 chip, an updated remote featuring a built-in speaker. The new HomePod mini and Apple TV box are expected to ship from October 30.
