BUSAN — The Global Support Department of Dongseo University's Anchor Project Group and the Dongnae District Innovation Community Center will jointly develop programs connecting local residents with foreign students and share staff and facilities, the university said.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on local community development and global network building at the university's Anchor Project Group conference room, Dongseo University said on the 23rd. Yoon Tae-soo, head of the Global Support Department, and Choi Eun-ji, director of the Dongnae District Innovation Community Center, attended the signing.
Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to design and run joint programs bringing together local residents, foreign students and foreign nationals living in the area, and to build a sustainable cooperation model by drawing on each organization's infrastructure and resources.
Yoon said the department would actively identify joint projects to strengthen a locally based global network. Choi said the center would expand resident participation programs, including volunteer activities by foreign students in the district starting in November.
