The Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) has unveiled three mobile licensing vehicles to bring vehicle licensing services closer to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and the general public.
The initiative, launched ahead of the MDA League match, is intended to make licensing services more accessible, reduce the need for customers to visit fixed licensing offices and improve efficiency in service delivery.
Under the leadership of Executive Director James Bagie Bio, the initiative aligns with President Dr Julius Maada Bio’s Big Five Game Changers, particularly the fifth pillar, which focuses on transforming the public service architecture through efficiency, professionalism and accountability.
The Authority is encouraging MDAs to use the mobile licensing stations to renew licences for their vehicle fleets without incurring additional service charges. Official fees for vehicle and driver’s licence renewals will be displayed on the vehicles to promote transparency and ensure customers are aware of the approved charges.
The SLRSA has also reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards unauthorised fees, stressing that no emergency or facilitation charges are required for its licensing services. Members of the public have been advised to seek assistance only from uniformed SLRSA personnel displaying valid identification cards and to make payments through authorised channels.
The Authority said the measures are part of its efforts to combat licensing fraud, strengthen accountability and improve public confidence in its operations.

For enquiries and feedback, the public can contact the SLRSA automated WhatsApp service on +232 30 844 844. Complaints can be reported on +232 80 879 753, while Africell and Orange subscribers can call the toll-free line on 844.
The deployment of the three mobile licensing vehicles forms part of the SLRSA’s efforts to expand access to licensing services and support the Government’s drive to improve public service delivery.
