Coach Matt LaFleur’s Green Bay Packers welcomed the Dallas Cowboys to the legendary confines of Lambeau Field for a Week 6 tilt that included a pregame tiff and started out fast. Green Bay got on the board first during a weekend when Josh Jacobs made headlines as Matthew Golden caught a huge touchdown to lead the scoring.
The Packers sent five receivers out on pass patterns including one running back as quarterback Jordan Love made the correct read, finding Golden in the back-middle of the end zone for six points.

Golden had two receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown as the first quarter wound down, showing his versatility once again. Once known as mainly a deep threat, he is polishing his route-running skills and becoming one of the NFL’s better receivers early this season, aided by Love’s phenomenal play. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys had no answer early as Green Bay maintained its lead headed toward the second quarter.
Love later threw an interception that the fans didn’t see coming. The Cowboys, no stranger to prime time games, looked to get untracked on offense as they found themselves with just 27 total yards as time in the first quarter continued to tick away.
The Packers’ offense looks strong and Golden is a huge part of it along with Christian Watson, who has silenced the doubters so far this season. Green Bay had -1 rushing yards in the first quarter, but the buzz surrounding Golden was too loud to ignore as the game continued toward its second quarter of action.
