Home Minister Mama Natung on Thursday held a meeting with Ning Tayeng Doming, Zilla Parishad Member of 09-Mopom ZP Constituency under Upper Siang District.
The meeting focused on issues related to renovation, maintenance and repair of the existing water supply facilities in Mopom Block.
According to the Minister, Doming apprised him of the ground situation and the difficulties faced by the local population due to deteriorating water supply infrastructure.
The two leaders discussed in detail the need for timely intervention and the importance of maintaining a reliable and sustainable water supply system to meet the daily needs of the people in the remote block.
He noted that water supply facilities in many interior areas require urgent renovation and proper maintenance to function effectively.
The ZPM also highlighted the need for repair of old pipelines, storage tanks and other allied infrastructure that have been affected due to wear and tear and natural factors over the years.
Natung assured that the concerns raised would be taken up with the concerned department for necessary action and timely redressal, so that the people of Mopom Block do not face hardship.
