Minor boy found murdered near Vibhutipura Lake in Bengaluru

An unidentified boy, aged around 15, was found dead with a severe head injury near Vibhutipura Lake within the HAL police station limits on Monday (October 12) morning, with police suspecting murder.

The body was noticed by local residents who had gone for their morning walk near the lake bed. They alerted the police by calling the emergency helpline 112.

The HAL police rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection. The boy had sustained a head injury, allegedly caused by a blunt object, possibly a stone.

The body was later shifted for a postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

The police are verifying missing-person complaints to establish the boy’s identity and identify those responsible for the suspected murder. A case has been taken up for further investigation.
