On Thursday, Macut took part in a panel discussion titled “A Region in Motion: The Western Balkans Shaping Europe’s Shared Future”, held as part of the Berlin Process Leaders’ Summit in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro, the Serbian Government said in a press release.
The press release noted that Macut emphasized Serbia’s unwavering commitment to implementing reforms under the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, with the aim of gradually integrating the country into the EU single market, which serves as a crucial milestone toward full membership.
Macut pointed out that regional stability is far more than a mere political ambition - it is an absolute necessity. He added that the Berlin Process acts as a vital tool for securing this stability by driving the enlargement process and fostering continuous investment in peace and prosperity across the continent.
A stable and interconnected Western Balkans is, at the same time, an integral part of a secure and strong Europe, Macut said.
He expressed hope that the Western Balkan nations and EU member states would continue to cultivate mutual understanding, patience, and constructive cooperation, noting that a shared European future can only be built collectively, one step at a time.
