Border Health Services Pakistan has warned international travelers against using fake vaccination certificates, saying passengers with fraudulent documents could face legal action and travel disruptions.
The department, which operates under the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, said airport officials scan and verify vaccination certificates to confirm their authenticity.
Officials also check the barcodes on vaccination cards. If a barcode fails verification or officials identify a fake certificate, they will not allow the passenger to continue the journey, according to the department’s advisory.
Border Health Services Pakistan urged travelers to avoid individuals and unauthorized sources that offer to create vaccination cards or certificates.
The department advised international travelers to obtain their vaccination certificates only through authorized channels to avoid fraud, legal consequences, and interruptions to their travel plans.
