SHAH ALAM: Actress Emma Maembong has shared that her boyfriend, DJ Kidd, has won her heart through his hard work and dedication to family.
Emma—whose real name is Fatimah Rohani Ismail—explained that money is never top of her list when choosing a partner. Instead, she values sincerity, responsibility, and a man's drive to build a good life.
She calls DJ Kidd a generous man who never hesitates to cover their expenses and works tirelessly to support them both.
"He works incredibly hard to achieve his goals. He's even willing to work day and night to cover our expenses. I've never had to pay for a meal or other costs—he handles everything.
"Even when his income is unpredictable, he still manages to pay. I believe that's why his blessings continue to pour in," she said in a recent Berita Harian report.
Emma noted that his strong determination gives her complete confidence in their future together.
But she made it clear that wealth isn't what matters most to her—it's his character and effort that count.
"God willing, who knows—perhaps one day he will become wealthy and take care of me. We never know, but that's not what I'm looking at. All I care about is his heart.
"The effort he puts in makes me feel that he is truly complete—he lacks nothing," she said.
As a mother of two, family responsibility is a top priority for Emma. She loves that DJ Kidd is not only hardworking, but also easygoing and knows how to make her laugh.
"People have long asked me what qualities I look for in an ideal partner. My answer has always been that it doesn't matter to me whether he is wealthy. What matters is that he prioritises his family, knows how to conduct himself, and is responsible.
"I am very family-oriented, and he embodies all these qualities. Regardless of the nature of his work, God willing—if it is meant to be—everything will turn out for the best," she said.
Emma also feels at ease with DJ Kidd because of his strong fatherly instincts.
"Since he already has two children, he instinctively knows how to look after mine," she said.
