The Philadelphia Eagles lost in shocking and disappointing fashion on Sunday in London to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
With eight seconds remaining on the clock, Philly led by two points. All they needed to do was kick a successful punt return and hold the Eagles on defense to end the game. However, Jaguars running back Ameer Abdullah exploded for a 57-yard return to the Eagles' 39-yard line. Jacksonville kicker Cam Little then won the game by making a 57-yard field goal in the final second.
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni took the blame for the loss in his post-game press conference, admitting that he chose the wrong game plan in the final seconds. So far, it sounds like the NFL community agrees with the loss being Sirianni's fault.

...
Pro Football Hall of Famer, and former Eagles receiver, Cris Carter went so far to call Sirianni a "bad coach" when speaking on the "Up & Adams" show on Monday.
"The Eagles played a phenomenal football game, and as a head coach to get them in the right head space in London, given the retirement, trade this week, all the injuries, lack of fire power. That takes a good coach to do that," Carter said. "But, it takes a bad coach to be able to do what he did at the end of the game, and that was take victory away from NFL players."
The Eagles did go through a lot the week leading up to the London contest, as Carter alluded to. Legendary offensive tackle Lane Johnson announced his retirement mid-season, then the Eagles traded Pro Bowl offensive lineman Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens. Offensive stars Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith were both ruled out for the London game. The Eagles had a tough week, and Sirianni failed to give his team the positive end they deserved.
Carter then admitted he wondered what legendary coach Mike Tomlin would've done if he was in Sirianni's shoes. Carter believes the former Pittsburgh Steelers coach would've had a much better game plan.
"He's one of the problems. This is what I thought about 'What would Mike Tomlin look like in Philadelphia? What would Mike Tomlin have done in that situation?'" Carter said. "... I'm pretty certain he would've not had the Eagles in that situation."
Sirianni is definitely in the hot seat after Sunday's loss, and because of the fact the Eagles have started 2-3 this season. But, it's not time for him to be fired. He's made his mark there, and if he can redeem himself in the coming weeks, he'll be off the hot seat in no time. Philly fans aren't easy to forgive, though.
