The Korean Peninsula Unification Future Center, part of the Unification Ministry's National Institute for Peace, Unification and Democracy Education, said on the 19th that it will host its 2026 open house for the public on Oct. 24.
Held under the theme "Connecting Peace, Opening the Future," the event is designed to expand communication and exchange with the surrounding community and to let visitors experience the meaning of peace and unification in an accessible way.
Cultural and arts programs include a unification magic concert and a balloon art performance, with the lineup arranged so that families visiting together can take part. Hands-on programs include a unification quiz competition, making unification characters, woodworking, bracelet making, planting succulents and making postcards. The center will also run a range of side events and community partnership programs, including medical volunteer services, tastings by social enterprises, face painting, free coffee and beverages, traditional games and prize drawings.
In partnership with the Korea Medical Volunteer Association, the center plans to provide free medical services to veterans' families and people recognized for national service, including integrated Western and Korean medicine consultations and medical kits.
The event is open to anyone, and no advance registration is required. Visitors can simply refer to the notice posted on the center's website (unifuture.unikorea.go.kr).
