The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has congratulated its Deputy President I, Alhaji Rafiu Adisa Ebiti, and the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba (Prof.) Saka Adelola Matemilola, on the distinguished honours conferred on them by the Crescent University, Abeokuta.
This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the group’s President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo and Executive Secretary, Prof. Wole Abbas.
The organisation described Ebiti as a distinguished accountant and philanthropist of high repute whose footprints in the educational sector are already legendary.
MUSWEN noted that Ebiti’s earlier leadership as Pro-Chancellor of Summit University, Offa, was marked by visionary reforms and a strong commitment to student welfare and academic standards.
It expressed confidence that he would bring the same passion and expertise to Crescent University, founded on the noble values of “Learning and Character” by the late Prince Bola Ajibola.
MUSWEN said the awards bestowed on Ebiti, the Olowu and Prof Yusuf Olaolu Ali and the other recipients underscore Crescent University’s commitment to celebrating individuals who combine academic, professional, traditional, and philanthropic excellence in service to society.
The organisation described the honours as a source of pride for the Muslim Ummah and a boost to faith-based higher education in Nigeria, praying for divine wisdom, good health and continued success for the awardees as they contribute further to education, community development, and the upliftment of the Ummah.
