Kenneth Walker has been in superb form during the first six weeks of the season, but Leger Douzable has suggested he is due for a regression, which could start this week.
Walker joined the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in 2026 after helping the Seattle Seahawks secure the Super Bowl.
He now leads the NFL in rushing yards this season with his team 5-0 going into their Week 7 tie against the Seahawks.
But Douzable has suggested that Walker’s ‘regression’ will start this week because Seattle have a defence which is ‘tough’ to run the football against.
Speaking via NFL on CBS, he said: “[Kenneth Walker] is due for a regression, which you would assume is going to happen because he’s played at, at this pace, it’s ridiculous, and I think it starts this week just because that is a tough defence to run the football against.”
He added: “You don’t think that Macdonald is going to know that the key focal point of the Kansas City offence is to minimise what Kenneth Walker III does. He’s going to do everything in his power to make sure that Mahomes and that Chiefs offence is in second and third and long. That way their pass rushers can really get after the quarterback.”
It remains to be seen if the Seahawks, who are 3-3 going into this game, have the ability to stop both Walker and Patrick Mahomes to put an end to the Chiefs’ winning streak.
