A man has appeared in court accused of murdering a 17-year-old in Glasgow.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard on Friday that Dragsnes engaged in a stand-up fight with Jack Mellon and a 16-year-old boy.
It is claimed that Dragsnes presented a knife at them then repeatedly struck and stabbed Mr Mellon on the body with the blade.
Dragsnes faces a second charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice. It is alleged that he concealed or destroyed the knife used in the alleged murder.
A third charge says Dragsnes had a knife in a public place without a reasonable excuse or lawful authority.
Mr Mellon was found fatally wounded at around 6.05pm.
Emergency services attended but Mr Mellon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dragsnes made no plea on Friday at a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he was represented by his lawyer Ian Sievwright.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody by Sheriff Iain Fleming.
Dragsnes, of Possilpark, will appear at court again within the next eight days.
After his death, tributes were paid to Mr Mellon which included online from his brother James.
He wrote: “I still can’t believe you’re gone.
“A part of my heart has gone with you, and words can’t explain the pain I’m feeling right now. You were more than just my brother; you were a part of my life, my memories, and my heart. Life will never be the same without you.
“I wish I could have one more conversation, one more hug, and one more chance to tell you how much you mean to me. Although you’re no longer here with us, you will forever live in my heart and in my memories.
“Rest peacefully, my brother. You will never be forgotten. Until we meet again”
