I ask the rhetorical question, what benefit is playing a terrible team a week prior to the start of the season?
Due to fair traffic I missed the first 7 minutes, when I arrived the score was 27-8. It was already over. The Bears are an NCAA Division II school, and the talent differential was evident immediately. They were 2-22 from 3PT (9.1%), we’ll take credit for that. But they only shot 47.6% from the free throw line, that’s on them.
Four Factors

They made the Wolfpack look pretty good.
Notes from the game:
- There was clearly a focus on the point guards setting up the other players, Adams and Edmead combined for 17 assists. Each attempted only 4 field goals.
- 29 asssits on 41 made field goals!
- Rebounding – The Pack did win the rebounding battle 42-32, but still struggled to keep the opponent off the offensive boards, losing that battle 11-18.
- We saw Jurkovic’s strengths, he shot 100% from the field, including 1-1 from 3PT. And he was 5-6 from the free throw line. Plus he blocked 3 shots. But he got zero rebounds.
- Shah Hall was the only player that did not get in the game.
- McNeil got hot, hitting 7-13 from 3PT (53.8%)
- Wilkins only played 12 minutes, but got 14 points, 5 rebounds and a steal.
Game Highs:
- Scoring – McNeil 23
- Rebounding – Lubin 9
- Assists – Adams 9
- Blocks – Lubin 4
- Steals – RJ Keene and Eemeli Yalaho with 2 each
