KUALA LUMPUR: Women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah's bid for consecutive World Tour titles ended in the French Open final on Sunday.
Japan's world No. 3 Yuki Fukushima-Mayu Matsumoto defeated the world No. 4 Malaysians 10-21, 21-17, 21-16 in the title decider at Arena Grand Paris.
The defeat denied Pearly-Thinaah a European double following their Denmark Open triumph last Sunday, as well as a second French Open crown after their victory in 2022.
Pearly-Thinaah nevertheless ended their two-week European campaign with a title and a runners-up finish, having reached consecutive Super 750 finals for the first time.
