Rice returns home trying to halt a skid.
The Owls (1-5, 0-2 American) host Tulsa (3-3, 0-2) on Saturday trying to end a five-game losing streak since winning its season opener. Rice's first two conference games have seen the Owls in close games that didn't go their way in the fourth quarter. Meantime, the Golden Hurricane enter on a three-game losing streak so something has to give between the teams.
Saturday is the 21st meeting between the teams, with Tulsa holding a 10-9-1 edge. Rice has won the past two matchups, the most recent being a 42-10 rout in 2023 at Tulsa.
