THIELLS - North Rockland's timing is nothing short of impeccable.
Rocco Bellofatto celebrated Senior Night with three highlight-worthy touchdowns Friday, leading the Red Raiders to a needed 21-0 win over Scarsdale.
A humbling late-season losing streak is over.
"It gives us optimism going into the playoffs, and motivation," Bellofatto said. "We're really focused on the next game now."
Despite absorbing consecutive losses to Mamaroneck, Arlington and New Rochelle, a Section 1 Class AA title is very much a possibility. There is no clear favorite this season. It'll be another day before the contenders know what's next.
There's a complex formula in place that makes the standings difficult to decipher week to week, so the contenders are waiting for the brackets to be released on Sunday.
Check back later for complete game details.
