Danika Mason has confirmed she will exit Today after rumours began to swirl of her departure on Thursday.
The sports presenter, who joined the Today show in February 2025, confirmed she would not be returning to the program after Friday in an emotional reveal to the audience.

“I’ve had to make the decision as to what I do when I come back next year.
“Obviously juggling all my NRL commitments, Today Show and the new baby as well … something had to give,” she said.
“I won’t be coming back to the show. I’ve absolutely loved my time here. We have the best audience and the best team.
“It has been such a fun two years. I’ve had the best time.”
This marks another departure for the breakfast program, which has been marred by a mass exodus of presenters this year.
Weather presenter Tim Davies exited the show in September, bidding farewell to his Today colleagues after seven years on the screen.
“I have been everywhere. I have done everything, and I’ve done it with the best people, as you can see,” he said during his final episode.
“I just don’t know how you top it. I don’t know how you get any better.”

Former Today host Sarah Abo abruptly left the show in late July following pregnancy-related health issues.
She announced on July 15 she would be stepping away from Today after she “copped a curveball” with her health.
“Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA – copped a bit of a curveball on Wednesday afternoon with high blood pressure and have been in and out of hospital since,” she shared on social media in mid-July.
Mason announced her own pregnancy in July, alongside current co-host Sylvia Jeffries, who will welcome her third child in early 2027.
