SEGAMAT: A homeless man was jailed 10 months by the magistrate's court here today after pleading guilty to hurting a 70-year-old man with a glue tin.
Magistrate Nor Fadilah Johanuddin sentenced Jainudi Abdullah, 47, after he admitted to the offence.
According to the charge, Jainudi had voluntarily caused hurt to the victim using a glue tin, an object which could cause death.
The offence was committed in front of an electrical goods shop in Kampung Abdullah here at 1.30pm on Oct 15.
He was charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which provides for imprisonment of up to 10 years, a fine, whipping, or any two of these punishments upon conviction.
