Dancer and content creator, Joy Ogbonna, aka Afroblueriss, has revealed that she chose to pursue entertainment despite her mother’s desire for her to become a soldier.
Ogbonna said her passion for dancing, which began at the age of five, influenced her decision to follow a career path that has since expanded into content creation and entrepreneurship.
She said, “It all began when I was five years old. I have always loved entertainment, especially dancing.”
According to her, her decision to pursue entertainment despite her mother’s preference for a military career was one of the major challenges she faced while finding her path.
Beyond entertainment, she has ventured into entrepreneurship and owns Happy Luxe Spa. She said she hopes to establish more businesses in areas such as technology, consumer products and beauty.
She said, “I am passionate about business because I believe you can only become a multimillionaire if you have a business plan and mindset to match.”
Ogbonna added that her long-term ambition includes creating business opportunities for people in remote parts of Nigeria, where access to certain services and opportunities may be limited.
She also expressed interest in making wellness services accessible to young people and those on average incomes, noting that affordable opportunities to relax could help people cope with everyday pressures.
Beyond her commercial interests, she said she supports charitable causes, recalling that one of her earliest experiences of giving involved buying food for homeless people.
