RUSSIA SENDS FIRST DIESEL TANKER TO US UNDER TRUMP-PUTIN AGREEMENT
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak confirmed today that the first tanker carrying diesel fuel from Russia to the United States will depart tomorrow. The shipment totals 40,000 metric tons and follows direct agreements between President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump.
Novak stated plainly: “As agreed between the two leaders, we will meet all the needs that exist in the US within the limits of our capabilities.” He added that additional shipments will follow based on what Russian refineries can actually produce and what the American market requires.
The statement from Novak underscores a return to energy trade based on mutual needs instead of open-ended political barriers. US diesel prices have remained high, and this initial tanker represents the first concrete delivery under the leaders’ agreement. Further cargoes are expected to follow as paperwork clears and volumes scale.
