Mariska Hargitay was a proud mom as she stepped out with her eldest son, August, at the first New York Knicks game of the season on October 20 at Madison Square Garden.
The Law & Order: SVU star was beaming with August by her side, as the 20-year-old towered over his famous mother while dressed in blue jeans, a white tee and a blue paisley collared shirt.
Mariska stunned in dark wash jeans, a navy turtleneck, a navy leather jacket and a Knicks bomber over the top. The duo were joined courtside by stars like Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor and Tracy Morgan.

The 62-year-old is a huge Knicks fan, and recounted running all the way from her Broadway show, Every Brilliant Thing, to MSG for the final game on June 13 when the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs to secure the NBA Championship.
"I took four minutes off the running time of my show, and I knew the traffic would be crazy, so I sprinted from the Hudson Theater on 44th and 6th to MSG," she told The Hollywood Reporter after the team won.

"But I knew everything was going to be alright, because I was wearing my Jalen Brunson Kobe 5 Protos that Jalen gave me a few months ago. But I'm not gonna lie, the ten-block sprint after a two-show day was no joke."
"I love my husband, and our wedding night was great and all, but I think it might have been the greatest night of my life," she laughed. "The game was so brutal, down 29 at the half, but I'm telling you, to watch this team fight and claw their way back – to see that look in Jalen's [Brunson] eyes – there are just endless life lessons in there."

"And then OG [Anunoby] comes flying in, his orange and blue cape fluttering behind him, and then it's just pandemonium," Mariska continued, before declaring that the winning moment will "get replayed again and again, not just as an epic moment in basketball, but on the highlight reel of the best moments in sports."
August even joined Mariska at the Knicks' parade through New York City, wearing a shirt in the team's colors that read: "Marknicksa Hargitay" in a play on his mother's name.

The Emmy winner was 42 when she became a mother, and shared with People that she was grateful to have waited to start a family.

"I'm so grateful that I'm an older mom," she explained.
"Grateful that I became successful older. I don't know if I could have handled it when I was younger. When I was younger, I wasn't as present, but as I've gotten older, I've started to accept and appreciate. And now I'm going to savor this moment."
