PETALING JAYA: Former Pejuang women’s youth chief Nurul Ashikin Mabahwi, 37, has died.
Pejuang president Mukhriz Mahathir confirmed her death in a Facebook post today. He did not disclose the cause.
“May her soul be placed among the believers,” he said.
Ashikin resigned as Pejuanita Muda chief and from the party’s central executive council in December 2023.
She was among the 121 Pejuang candidates who lost their deposits in the 2022 general election.
She received 2,653 votes in a nine-cornered contest for the Ampang parliamentary seat, which Pakatan Harapan’s Rodziah Ismail won with a 29,681-vote majority.
