Nigerian singer Davido has taken to social media to remember his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, on his posthumous birthday today, October 20th.
The award-winning musician shared this on his X account, writing; “LLI. Happy birthday son …. Me and mommy miss and love you! Keep flying high,” he wrote.
Ifeanyi had drowned at the singer’s Banana Island mansion in October 2022, just days after celebrating his third birthday.
His death sparked widespread grief among fans, colleagues and other celebrities, many of whom expressed sympathy and support for the couple during the difficult period.
Since the loss, Davido and Chioma have continued with their personal lives and careers while occasionally honouring their late son.
The couple welcomed their twins in the United States in October 2023, almost a year after their first son’s death.
