As usual, here are the morning’s biggest stories.
Juventus, Kolo sends clear signals
Randal Kolo Muani has broken his scoring duck, but the difficulties remain. The Frenchman made his now-familiar mistakes against Cagliari, though there were glimpses of promise. When? After Woltemade came on.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Frenchman himself is calling for a two-striker formation to give him more space and make both him and Juventus more dangerous. Perhaps Spalletti will listen to his striker as early as the next match.
Milan, two players set to return to the fold?
Gabbia’s situation and Milan’s generally underwhelming performances are giving Ruben Amorim food for thought.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, beyond formally bringing them back into the squad, the Rossoneri could actually turn to Tomori and Diawara, defensive options who have never been used and have instead been sidelined since the Portuguese coach arrived. Things could soon change, though.
Inter, a new sponsor on the way
After sealing a deal with BBVA bank, Inter are close to securing another major sponsorship.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, an agreement is close with Barilla, the famous and iconic pasta company whose brand reaches across the globe.
Napoli, De Laurentiis on a possible sale
Aurelio De Laurentiis spoke to Canale 5 about a wide range of topics, including a possible sale. Here is what he said.
"When I arrived, Napoli no longer existed: I rescued a name from the ashes and, out of respect for the people of Naples and Maradona, continued to call it Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli. Is there anyone who can pay for my quarter-century of efforts? I don’t know, but if there is, let them come forward. Then we’ll look into it and assess what guarantees they can offer the fans."
Roma, keep an eye on their European record
Roma return to European action for a blockbuster clash with Real Madrid. Their recent European form, however, is worth noting.
As Gazzetta dello Sport points out, Roma have gone four consecutive European matches without a win: a draw with Panathinaikos, two draws with Bologna and then another with Fenerbahce.
Lazio, Cancellieri ready to return
Lazio are flying high and dreaming big, and hope to welcome key players back from injury this week. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Biancocelesti should have Cancellieri back for their next match against Juve.
The situation is more complicated for Marusic and Rovella, but if they do recover, they would be options for the bench, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Fiorentina, Atta still a doubt
How is Arthur Atta doing? That is the main concern at Fiorentina, with the former Udinese player struggling with an abdominal overload injury.
According to firenezeviola.it, his fitness remains uncertain and he is a major doubt for the match against Como.
