Colombo, Oct 17 (Daily Mirror) - A joint team comprising officers from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), the Police and the Police Special Task Force (STF) searched the Mount Lavinia residence of Sanjaya Samarasinghe, the private secretary to Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa.
It was reported that the search operation began at around 10.30 p.m. yesterday (16) and continued until approximately 4.30 a.m. today (17).
The officials reportedly searched the entire premises and recorded statements during the operation.
However, the authorities have not yet officially disclosed the reason for the search or provided further details about the operation.
