The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) held its eighth domestic full points event of the 2026 season this past weekend, and became the first pro tour to ever play an event in Kentucky, with the 2026 Humana APP Louisville Open. The tour played this event at the Kentucky International Convention Center in downtown Louisville, and its players got to visit all the attractions that Louisville is known for.

News and Noteworthy ahead of the Event
Here’s a quick recap of notable news items of import to the tour or this event:
- 10/8/26: APP announces its fy2027 slate of domestic events, featuring 12 events (one a month) around the country. new sites for 2027 include
Palm Beach Gardens, and an Arizona spot in December; the rest are returning core events from the 2026 slate. - 9/22/26: The APP announces the APP Moneyball Series. APP Moneyball Series is a new competitive series for current and aspiring professional
pickleball players, offering high-level local competition, prize money, APP Tour ranking points, and a pathway to national and global events.
With that said, let’s recap the action.
Men’s Pro Singles Recap
Men’s Singles on the APP continues to show parity, with 6 distinct winners in the last 9 events held. The winner from the last event (Tristan Dussault) was upset in the round of 16 by Jake Bower, and five of the eight top seeds in the draw failed to advance to the quarters. However, the final ended up being 1v2, with the tour’s top ranked player Ronan Camron taking out No. 2 Dusty Boyer for his 3rd career singles title. Veteran Eduardo Irizarry pipped Bower for the Bronze.
Gold: Ronan Camron. Silver: Dusty Boyer. Bronze: Eduardo Irizarry.
Women’s Pro Singles Recap
After several events of chaos in the Women’s singles draw, this one went almost completely chalk from beginning to end. The only interloper double-digit seed into the quarters was Australian Roos van Reek (who’s talents are not matched by her seed), who fell at that juncture to fellow No. 4 seed Aussie Seone Mendez.
From there, the top players on tour battled it out in the semis and finals to great effect. No. 1 Stewart went three games and edged Mendez 11-9 in one semi, while No. 2 Domenika Turkovic also had to dig deep to top No. 3 Oshiro. In the final. Turkovic got her second APP singles title in a row with a 3-game upset win over Stewart to close the gap at the top of the rankings.
Gold: Domenika Turkovic. Silver: Kat Stewart. Bronze: Bobbi Oshiro.
Mixed Pro Doubles Recap
One of the “fun” things that happen when a player of the quality of Jay Devilliers suddenly parachutes into a tour is the propensity for very low seeds to make very big runs. In mixed, Devilliers paired with Domenika Turkovic to create a very formidable, but very under-seeded Mixed team. They met the top seeds in the round of 16 in No. 1 Megan Fudge & Aiden Schenk, and moved past them with relative ease 6,4. In fact, Devilliers & Turkovic made it all the way to the final, with multiple additional upsets along the way. In the final, they ran into the tour’s top ranked Mixed Male player in Jack Munro, playing this week with the visiting Australian Roos van Reek, and they made the most of the trip, beating Jay & Domenika for gold.
Gold: van Reek & Munro. Silver: turkovic & Devilliers. Bronze: Stewart & Livornese.
Men’s Pro Doubles Recap
The Men’s doubles draw was shaken early, when the No. 2 seeds Palm & Camron were ousted in the first round by Shay Hugo & Kevin Caulfield. This opened up an opportunity on the bottom half for the veteran No. 15 seeds Naveen Beasley & Max Wild, and they made a run to the semis before falling.
However, it was all for naught, as the top seeds Jack Munro & Richard Livornese Jr. were not to be denied. The No. 1 seeds won their 7th straight APP Men’s Doubles draw, beating No. 3 Aidan Schenk & Zack Marceau in the final. Jay Devilliers & Tanner Tomassi, silver medalists in Columbus two weeks ago, salvaged the bronze.
Gold: Munro & Livornese. Silver: Schenk & Marceau. Bronze: Devilliers & Tomassi.
Women’s Pro Doubles Recap

Kat Stewart (L) and Bobbi Oshiro (R) cruised to the Women's Doubles title.
APPOn the backs of two gold medals in the last few events, Shelby Bates & Christine Maddox have taken over the No. 1 team spot on tour, but they ran into the buzz saw that is Glauka Carvajal Lane lately. She’s taken three straight APP/APP International silver medals lately, with three different partners. In Kentucky, Lane paired up with Domenika Turkovic, with whom she won silver in Columbus two weeks ago, and they took out the top seeds in the semi to push for another gold.
In the final, they met No. 3 Bobbi Oshiro & Kat Stewart, who took out the under-seeded No. 10 pair of Vivian Glozman & Roos van Reek in dominant fashion in the bottom semi. In the final, it was another bridesmaid day for Lane and Turkovic, losing 2,9 for another silver medal.
Kat Stewart finishes the event with 3 medals: a Gold, a Silver, and a Bronze.
Gold: Oshiro & Stewart. Silver: Lane & Turkovic. Bronze: Bates & Maddox.
