Sizwe Dhlomo has put Moja Love on blast after a clip from conflict-resolution show Rea Tsotella made the rounds online, showing what appeared to be a man being physically attacked by his stepson while on stage.
In the footage, the older man absorbed the blows before eventually walking off the set, with security only stepping in after the altercation had already played out in full view of cameras and a live studio audience. The context surrounding the confrontation was not made clear in the clip, but the assault itself was enough to get the timeline talking.
Sizwe did not hold back, directing his frustration squarely at the channel responsible for airing the programme.
"I hate that things like these get televised! Where are your ethics, @MojaLoveTv?" he wrote.
What is Rea Tsotella?
Rea Tsotella is one of the most-watched shows on DStv's Moja Love (Channel 157). The programme brings together feuding family members, estranged couples, and warring neighbours to hash out deeply personal conflicts on television. While it is framed as a mediation platform, the show's heated atmosphere regularly produces explosive, uncensored moments that air without much intervention.
Critics have long taken issue with the format, arguing that the channel consistently puts ratings ahead of participant welfare and responsible broadcasting. Sizwe's reaction tapped into that long-standing frustration, and his post resonated with many who share the same concerns.
In 2025, TikTok sensation Tsekeleke's niece alleged that the show's host, Bishop Makamu, had humiliated her on television after she had gone to vent about her personal problems.
Briefly News understands that Makamu also made headlines in 2021 after a young member of his church accused him of making inappropriate advances at her.

"I hate that Moja Love channel with a passion. Everything they produce is centred around humiliating and ridiculing black people."
big_SAUCEEY called out the show's host directly:
"That fake pastor running this show must be cancelled together with his show."

"They don't care about the well-being of the people they host, as long as they get views."
LollyEncod claimed:
"This channel is profiting from black people's struggles, while humiliating our race to entertain viewers."
The pile-on reflects a debate that has simmered around South Africa's reality television landscape for years, with Rea Tsotella frequently at the centre of it.
