After a nice bounce-back performance in the desert in Week 5, where the Detroit Lions rolled over the Arizona Cardinals to the tune of 45-21, the team now heads into their bye week on a high note. And while having a Week 6 bye isn’t the most ideal in terms of where it falls during the course of the regular season, it comes at a decent time for Detroit. They are 3-2 through five weeks of play, firmly in contention in what figures to be a highly competitive NFC North race, and will likely be getting some reinforcements after the bye week is over.
Now with the players enjoying their bye week and most of the coaches likely hunkered down at 222 Republic Drive preparing for the Week 7 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, we get to enjoy a weekend of stress-free football. That brings us to today’s question of the day—which game from the Week 6 slate are you most looking forward to watching?
My answer: Naturally, I am going with the Sunday Night Football game between the Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay has had some major ups-and-downs so far this year, while the Cowboys feature one of the more high-powered offenses in the game. Could this be a primetime shootout at Lambeau Field? Either way, it will be a chance for Lions fans to get one last look at the Packers before Week 7 rolls around.
