Luckily for those who aren’t mad on chocolate (admittedly, we don’t know any of these people), in 2026, whatever your hobbies or interest, most likely there’s an Advent calendar for that.
At Good Housekeeping, we’ve tried our fair share – from fragrance calendars to a month of supplements (rather you than me, sorry wellness team). But hands down the best way to add a little glitz and glam to the festive countdown, is a big, juicy jewellery Advent calendar, brimming with shiny treats to cheer up cold winter mornings. Who doesn’t want to open a drawer full of jewels to dip into before work?
One of our favourite jewellery brands, Astrid & Miyu, has been creating Advent calendars since 2021, and they’ve sold out every single year. Typically, these will fly off the shelves months before we’ll sensibly allow people to play Christmas songs around us, so we think this one will go fast.
Let’s take a little look at what’s inside and see whether this year’s calendar is worth parting with your hard-earned pennies for.

Is it worth it?
The 12-day Advent calendar comes in both silver (rhodium plated sterling silver and brass) and gold (18k gold plated brass and recycled sterling silver) versions and includes everything you might need in your jewellery wardrobe for any occasion. Although it’s definitely an investment at just shy of £400, the reason this sells out every year is because it’s made up of suits-everyone styles that add a little joy, glamour and extra interest to any outfit, particularly during the festive season.
Each drawer in the dozen-day countdown is its own self-contained little box, so it’s perfectly re-giftable. Typically, each year I’ll save a couple of pieces for my sisters’ Christmas day presents, namely any that I feel might suit them more than me. The selection also includes a £50 gift voucher in the form of a gorgeous coin, so if you don’t want to choose for someone, this would also make a seriously special gift.
To give you a sense of what’s inside if you don’t want to see the entire contents list, my favourite finds are the Twist Link Chain Bracelet and the Crystal Clip Charm – I like the combination of wearing both together. I love the Cosmic Silver Ear Cuff, too, for jazzing up my ear stack without having to commit to another piercing.
