Sean "Diddy" Combs made headlines again after he was reportedly rushed to hospital from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey in the early hours of Saturday, 10 October 2026. The circumstances surrounding how the music mogul sustained a head injury behind bars remain unclear.
TMZ reported that an ambulance departed the prison at approximately 1 am. Sources told the publication that the injury was not life-threatening, and that Diddy was conscious and able to speak throughout. He was reportedly returned to custody before sunrise the same day, though details about the treatment he received have not been disclosed.
Peeps react after Diddy is rushed to hospital
After TMZ posted the report on X, social media users wasted no time weighing in with a mix of jokes and theories. The baby oil that featured heavily in allegations tied to his criminal case became an instant punchline, while others raised more serious questions about what may have actually occurred.
@pnwufor joked:
"Slipped on baby oil."
@PhatChin speculated:
"'Medical emergency' probably means someone tried to eliminate him."
@FcknEER quipped:
"Bro trynna be like Michael Schofield and break outta there."
@BtB1961 pushed back against the drama, writing:
"The injury was not life-threatening; Diddy remained conscious and speaking
, receiving treatment at a nearby hospital before returning to custody the same night."
@joanlorraine1me questioned the framing of the story:
"Seriously, it didn't sound like a medical emergency. What's being reported by you guys (and I see how you sensationalise stuff) is a bump on the head. Maybe a concussion, but a concussion isn't life-threatening if it's a bump on the head. Idk."
@nipsfalloff called it out as:
"Clickbait. He was brought to the hospital Saturday and returned on Sunday."
It is important to note that none of the social media comments confirms what actually happened, and the cause of the injury has not been officially established.

Diddy's conditions behind bars under scrutiny
The reported hospital visit adds to a growing picture of turbulence surrounding Diddy's time in federal custody. He had previously been moved to the Special Housing Unit at FCI Fort Dix, a section linked to restrictive housing conditions.
That move followed reports that he had allegedly been enjoying perks while incarcerated, including massages, alcohol, and access to a cellphone. There were also reports of a physical altercation with a fellow inmate in July.
Diddy's release date pushed back
Adding to the intrigue, Briefly News previously reported that Diddy's projected release date has been pushed from January 2028 to March 2028.
Further details about the incident are yet to surface regarding Diddy's recent hospitalisation.
