This past week, the NFL world was shocked to learn that Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts would miss the rest of the season following multiple blood clots being found in his leg and lungs after he missed this past week's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Since then, there has been plenty of controversy as more information has leaked out about the situation. Why Hurts was allowed to play in London after he was diagnosed with the clot ahead of the team's Week 5 game is one hotly debated topic, as is why he traveled home from London to Philadelphia immediately after the game. But the situation has left his future uncertain and the Eagles organization under the microscope.
Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers discusses his opinion on the Jalen Hurts blood clot controversy
Rodgers was asked about Hurts' situation during his availability to the press on Friday, ahead of Pittsburgh's Week 7 clash with the Saints in Paris.
"Obviously, we're in the quarterback fraternity, so you don't want to see anything like that happen to anybody," Rodgers said. "Obviously I don't know the whole details about what's going on I've seen what's been printed. The guy in charge of all things medical at the NFL office, he and I haven't always seen eye-to-eye about things. So, I can't say I'm surprised."

While Rodgers used the moment to take a shot at Dr. Allen Sills, the league's Chief Medical Officer, that shouldn't distract from the real concerns players might have moving forward.
Blood clots can quickly become a deadly medical condition, and the way the Eagles and the NFL are handling the Hurts situation could directly impact other players in the future if the issue arises again. And clearly, Rodgers is among the contingent unimpressed with the league's approach.
