By Zoila Palma: Minister of Economic Transformation, Dr. Osmond Martinez, recently met with Korean business and government representatives to explore opportunities for tourism promotion, investment and technological cooperation.
During his official engagements in the Republic of Korea, Martinez met with representatives of SK Finance Securities, the Environment Enabling Office and the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
Discussions focused on promoting Belize’s tourism sector through Korea’s popular cultural exports, collectively known as K-content, including K-pop, Korean dramas, beauty products and cuisine.
The meeting also explored potential public-private partnerships, investment opportunities and the use of artificial intelligence to advance cooperation between the two countries.
