As the Valkyries are set to play Game 2 of the WNBA Finals on Monday night, Golden State forward Gabby Williams was showing her support for the Bay Area.

Williams was seen entering Game 2 wearing a San Francisco 49ers’ Deebo Samuel jersey.

As the Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream will tip off at 5:00 p.m., Samuel and the 49ers will kick off 15 minutes later as they will host the Washington Commanders at Levi’s Stadium.

Golden State is in its second season as a WNBA franchise and is in its first Finals.

After spending three years [2022-2024] as an assistant coach with the Las Vegas Aces, Natalie Nakase is in her second season as a head coach and is showing why her team can be a contender for years to come.

The Valkyries took Game 1 of the series on Saturday night when they scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to secure a 68-64 victory.

Williams, 30, was fantastic in her WNBA Finals debut, putting on a clinic scoring 26 points, while having four rebounds and dishing out two assists.

Williams finished the game playing 33 minutes, shooting 36.4% from the field, while shooting 27.3% from downtown.

As the Valkyries are looking to win their first title in franchise history, the 49ers are off to a 5-0 start for the first time since 2023 and are looking like they have all the makings to be a Super Bowl winner this season.

After spending last season as a member of the Commanders, Samuel returned to the 49ers during the offseason and is looking like he never lost a step.

In the air, Samuel has caught 16 receptions for 206 yards and three touchdowns, while still proving his ability to be a swiss army knife by having 78 yards on the ground through nine carries.

Despite Samuel’s productivity this season, he has been ruled out in Monday’s matchup as he is expected to miss a few weeks after suffering a hamstring injury last week.
